If you asked a question and it wasn’t posted, it probably falls under one of these categories. Refer to these for answers(:
· “Cross the line if… (through our ask box)”
Any Cross The Lines sent to the ask get deleted.
Also, see this post: http://crosstheline.tumblr.com/tagged/askbox
No, I do not make the submissions. They are submitted by users. If I make one, it relates to me and is tagged “mod submission”. You have to wait for text submissions to open or make it in a graphic.
· Why are submissions closed!!!
CTL has too many submissions and tumblr works at too slow of a pace (300 posts takes 6 days) to get them posted in a reasonable manner. However Graphic submissions are ALWAYS open(:
Either A) You submitted to the ask.
B) You submitted after submissions were closed
C) Your CTL was no where near a complete sentence. Cross the line if Banana, cross the line if you love him but he live, Cross the line if penis, Cross the line if potato, and Cross the butter are some examples
D) Your CTL didn’t even have CTL in the beginning. It’s the default value for a reason. Please don’t delete that.
That’s the date the post was submitted. Keep track of when you submit a post to make it easier to find later. (:
· “You should spell check/gender-neutralize all of the submissions.”
Sorry, but no. I’m not checking all of the posts. If you want to correct them when you reblog them, go ahead. But I’m leaving them the way they are.
A follower told me this once, and I agree: Keeping the posts the way they are shows that not everyone is perfect. And isn’t that what this blog is about? All of us have our problems, and we’re not alone in those problems? That’s another reason I keep them how they are.
· “Can you promote my blog/reblog this post?”
I don’t do promos for personal blogs. Only for a specific post I like, a specific cause (like a suicide threat on tumblr), or inspirational blogs. If you are an inspirational blog and would like a promo, or would like a post for a cause reblogged, email at crosstheline1214@gmail.com and if I get enough I’ll do a list. (:
· What is this blog all about? / “I don’t understand this whole blog. Can you explain?”
The purpose of this blog is to see that what you’re going through is similar to more people than you think. Just like how you cross the line in the activity and see how many other people deal with what you go through. The only difference is our topics range from Suicide to a love of Harry Potter and beyond.
If you can relate to whatever is mentioned, then liking or reblogging would be similar to “crossing the line.”
Also, there’s a show on MTV called “If You Really Knew Me” and they have a bit called Cross The Line. Everyone stands on one side of a line and they’ll say “Cross the line if…..” and if that applies to you, you cross the line. It shows you that you’re not truly alone in whatever you’re going through. On here, reblogging or liking a post is like crossing the line. People can look at the notes on the post to see how many people can relate to what they’re going through. All of those people have crossed the line.
· “Are you accepting help right now?”
Not right now, but if I ever need help. I’ll let you know. For future reference, you MUST have experience using gmail to be a mod for CTL.
· I need advice (enter random problem here) or ”I’m fat, I hate my body, etc etc etc.”
I do not answer advice on Cross the Line. Please ask us on my personal (ask for it) or on CTL’s advice blog: impulsesandaddictions.tumblr.com
And remember you’re gorgeous the way you are. Trust me. Everybody’s perfect the way they are and we’re all beautiful inside and out. The doctor’s charts don’t show that all sizes are beautiful. But honestly, all are.
· “How old are you?”
My name is Savannah! I’m a 17 year old senior in high school. If you would like my personal, ask me un-anon in a message and I will gladly give it to you(:
· “When is my submission going to be up?”
Your submission will be up ASAP. It’s either in the queue or in our e-mail. There’s a RARE chance that it was lost, either from the e-mail or from tumblr screwing up. Or, maybe you just aren’t looking hard enough. This page isn’t about *you* and *your* submission. It’s about everyone and not feeling alone.
Even if yours got lost somehow, be proud that you got whatever you said, be it funny or sad, out of you and you tried. :D
· “You are a bitch, rude, etc. etc. etc.”
There’s a 99.9% chance that you don’t personally know me. And that .1% that do would tell you that I’m not a bitch. I put a lot of time and work into helping you guys. But if you have a problem with the way I handle things, please feel free to unfollow.
Also, please understand I get a lot of the same questions so it gets frustrating when people don’t read the FAQ and don’t look for what they want and just are lazy so they complain to us after I’ve answered the same thing like 8 times.
· Why didn’t you follow me back?
Simply, this blog does not have the option to follow back. If you click the down arrow next to your blog name, and click “create a new blog,” you will see that you can not follow anyone back on that secondary blog. Only your primary tumblelog can follow people back. Any other blogs you make under that account will not be able to follow back.
